Here is a list of places you can get help with vet bills. This is the first in a series of posts. These were all checked out recently and are active, though things do change. Lab Med says they're not going to be in operation much longer, for instance. Use your own due diligence and check them out. Give me a shout with any corrections or any additional sources you find! Please do share this. There's enough to go around.

Dog The Brown Dog Foundation Not for emergency treatment. Applicants must apply for assistance before pet is treated. A case manager is assigned and will communicate directly with the veterinian. None.
Dog and Cat The Onyx and Breezy Foundation A home for rescue animals. Provides spay/neuter programs, rescue of animals from kill shelters, puppy mill rescues, disaster relief, help for individuals with medical hardship, equipment for medical facilities, cancer research, equipment for military and police canines, etc. Apply through veterinian or on line. Approved grants valid for 90 days only. None.
Dog HandicappedPets.com Dedicated to the health and well-being of elderly, disabled, and injured dogs. They donate wheelchairs to pets in need to help them move and get the exercise they need. Dogs who need assistance with mobility. None.
Dog Land of Pure Gold Foundation Cancer treatment grants for dogs that were active, full-time working dogs at the time of cancer diagnosis. Dogs over 10 are exempt. Applicant must be able to prove their dog was professionally trained and certified None.
Dog Canine Cancer Awareness Temporarily halted new applications 1/1/2019. Must revisit site. None.
Dog K9 Carts Accepts donated carts and provides rescues and shelters with donated carts. None.
Dog IAADP Veterinary Care Partnership Program Provides funds for emergency medical care to help IAADP partner members when their partnership is threatened by the need for high cost veterinary care beyond their ability to pay. None.
Dog Bergin College of Canine Studies Mission is to advance human-canine partnerhip through research and education. Offers Master's, Bachelor's, and Associate's degrees in Dog Studies. None.
Dog Assistance Dog United Campaign Helps people with disabilities find funding to purchase service dogs. Applications must be requested only in the months of April and May. None.
Dog Top Dog Foundation Mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide loving and permanent homes for dogs deemed unadoptable because of health or age and would otherwise be euthanized. Located in New Germany, Minnesota. Dogs selected by age and health status. None.
